NARC, Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation discuss cooperation

AMMAN — The National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) on Sunday discussed opportunities for technical cooperation.
NARC Director General Nizar Haddad, during a meeting with President of EmbrapaCelsoLuizMoretti, highlighted that the two research enterprises could cooperate to enhance the value of research to be implemented on the ground, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also briefed the gathering on the NARC's efforts in the field of applied agricultural research, especially in the livestock, crops and food supply related areas.
Affiliated with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Embrapa is dedicated to agriculture applied research, notably in the fields of livestock and crops, Moretti said, noting that the corporation has more than 7,000 researches.
Also on Sunday, Director General of the Jordanian Cooperative Corporation Abdulfattah Al Shalabi met Moretti over means of enhancing cooperation between the two sides.
