AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Tuesday met with International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) Assistant Director General and Regional Director for Arab States Ruba Jaradat and ILO Country Coordinator for Jordan Patrick Daru in the presence of Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi.
Mulki said the government is keen on creating a suitable work environment for youth, providing them with training opportunities and enabling them to fill job opportunities provided by the national economy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The $44-million projects and activities implemented in Jordan by the ILO’s regional office, which is based in Beirut, are the largest among Arab states, Jaradat said.
She noted that the ILO has a wide range of ventures to support the Kingdom, aiming at reducing unemployment rate and increasing women’s participation in the labour market.
