Mufleh highlights Kingdom's efforts to empower persons with disabilities

AMMAN — Jordan is among the first countries to enforce the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), Minister of Social Development Ayman Mufleh said. Addressing the 15th session of the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD in New York, Mufleh, who is also Head of Executive Office of the Council of Arab Social Ministers, highlighted the Kingdom's efforts in the field of the rights of people with disabilities.
Jordan's institutions have developed educational platforms for students with hearing and vision impairments, besides the psychosocial support for their families, medical assistance and social protection during the pandemic. HH Prince Mired led the Jordanian delegation participating in the CRPD, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
