MPs voice appreciation for Czech support of Jordan, Palestinian cause

AMMAN — President of the Jordanian-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Committee MP Khaled Bakkar on Tuesday expressed his appreciation of the Czech Republic’s stance against transferring its embassy to Jerusalem.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Bakkar reiterated the importance of this firm stance in reinstating momentum for the Palestinian cause and rejuvenating the peace process in the right direction.
The MP also thanked the Czech Republic for its support to Jordan in its decision to host Syrian refugees.
Bakkar reaffirmed the role of the international community and the necessity of its support of Hashemite Custodianship of Jerusalem’s Muslim and Christian holy sites in pursuit of peace and a just resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Meanwhile, the Czech delegation highlighted His Majesty King Abdullah’s role in promoting interfaith and intercultural harmony.
