MoU signed to improve working conditions in textile sector

AMMAN — The Textile, Garment and Clothes Union and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) alongside the Better Work Project-Jordan on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the aim of applying the union's goals according to its 2021-2026 strategic plan.
Union President Fathalla Emrani and Better Work Project-Jordan Director Tareq Abu Qaoud signed the memorandum, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Emrani and Abu Qaoud said that the agreement is part of efforts to enhance decent jobs for workers in the industrial sector, improve the competitiveness of industries, and develop abidance to the Jordanian Labour Law and basic labour standards of ILO.
