Momani meets International Islamic News Agency head

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani on Thursday met with Director General of the International Islamic News Agency (IINA) Issa Khaireh Robleh. Momani, who is also the government’s spokesperson, expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the role of IINA in addressing challenges facing the Islamic world, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister stressed the need to enhance the role of media outlets like IINA in fighting terrorism and extremism, highlighting the importance of such institutions in clarifying the “true image” of Islam, especially as the war against terrorism entails intellectual, media and military aspects. For his part, Robleh expressed the agency’s interest in enhancing relations with Jordanian media outlets to exchange news and expertise, as well as to train journalists.
