Ministry working to help Jordanians stranded on Libya-Egypt border

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry is following up on the issue of citizens stranded at the Libyan-Egyptian border.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Sabah Al Rafie, said a number of Jordanians and truck drivers are stuck at the Libyan-Egyptian border, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry contacted the Jordanian embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian embassy in Amman to ensure the passage of those willing to return to the Kingdom from Libya through the Salloum border crossing, according to the spokesperson.

Jordanians and truck drivers who were stuck at the Libyan-Egyptian border on Wednesday passed the Salloum border crossing into Egypt and are on their way to the Kingdom, the Foreign Ministry said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up on the disappearance of Jordanian student Mohammad Obeid, whose family lost contact with him last October.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sabah Al Rafie on Thursday said the ministry is working around-the-clock to secure and facilitate the return of Jordanians, if they wish to do so, from Libya.
