Ministry rejects imported agricultural products

AMMAN — The Agriculture Ministry said Wednesday it has returned 175 tonnes of rotten chickpeas to their country of origin.
Salah Tarawneh, the ministry’s assistant secretary general for marketing and information, said the ministry also rejected 150 tonnes of rotten imported corn, destroyed 40 tonnes of rotten chestnuts and 25 tonnes of rotten rice.
