AMMAN — The Public Sector Development Ministry will visit government departments to ensure they simplify the provision of services to citizens and investors, the ministry said on Monday.
During a visit to the Department of Lands and Survey (DLS) on Monday, Public Sector Development Minister Yasera Ghosheh highlighted the importance of linking the DLS to other public agencies serving the public and investors.
The DLS should develop its online inquiry services and offer more services online, the minister added.
In particular, services that require the public to visit several departments should be available online, the minister said, adding that the public should also be able to make payments online. During the visit, Ghosheh met with DLS Director General Moeen Al Sayegh and senior employees and called for speeding up the processing of transactions without sacrificing quality.
Ghosheh said her ministry is ready to train DLS employees, particularly front desk staff, through the Institute of Public Administration.
