Mexico embassy marks Int’l Women’s Day

AMMAN — Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez has reiterated his country’s keenness to advance cooperation with the Kingdom in fields of mutual interest, “notably promoting a transformational vision for underpinning equity and human dignity”, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
During the embassy’s celebrations to mark International Women's Day, held on Tuesday, the envoy highlighted the embassy’s efforts towards establishing the basic concepts of women’s rights protection and eliminating all forms of domestic violence, Petra reported on Wednesday.
The diplomat also noted that a series of events will be held during this month to raise awareness about women's role, promote gender equality, women empowerment and eliminate violence against women in both countries.
