AMMAN — The Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies (RIIFS) and the Danmission Danish organisation held a meeting about “religion and community work”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
The meeting, which came within the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme with the support of the Danish ministry of foreign affairs, was attended by representatives of civil society organisations in Denmark, Jordan and Morocco.
The meeting included interactive sessions presented by Amer Hafi, an academic adviser at RIIFS, and Renee Hattar, the head of the international studies department at RIIFS, about the common values between Islam and Christianity.
The presentation focused on the Amman Message, and how to promote a culture of peace and dialogue in Jordan in order to prevent violent extremism.
