AMMAN — The sectoral team leaders designated to set the executive programme for the Economic Modernisation Vision for 2023-2025 on Thursday discussed the methods of preparing the executive programme as well as the role of the sectoral teams in this process, according to a Planning Ministry statement.
The work of these 22 teams is distributed between four ministerial committees representing the programme's four themes: Quality of life, economic growth and prosperity, human resource development and employment, and facilities and infrastructure.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh said that best practices will be adopted in the preparation of the executive programme, notably in taking participatory approaches with various stakeholders, as well as clear and measurable performance indicators.
The first executive plan will come to fruition within the next few months, the minister said, noting that the financing of first plan, which needs three years to be implemented, will be mobilised either through capital expenditure under the general budget, or through foreign aid.
He added that the Economic Modernisation Vision is a roadmap for the next 10 years that will allow the country to avail all economic potential, and optimise competitive advantages to build upon the most promising sectors and achieve the goals and indicators required for the vision.
