AMMAN — The committee of tenders related to technical and financial bids for qualified developers of the National Water Carrier project (Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Transport Project) on Thursday held a meeting in Aqaba with all official institutions and stakeholders in the project.
The meeting was attended by representatives of USAID and advisory company CDM Smith, and aimed at discussing and reviewing the latest developments in phases of the project, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Water Ministry said that the project is making "remarkable progress" with an ongoing government follow-up, especially that the project is part of the government's economic priorities.
The ministry expected to receive bids from five coalitions that had been previously qualified for the project by the end of March.
