Medical campaign to treat children with congenital defects

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Friday attended the launch of a medical campaign implemented by the Organisation of Operation Smile Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The mission aims at treating children who suffer from various birth deformities such as cleft lip, cleft palate, burns, scars and bloody birthmarks.
Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab and US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells also attended the ceremony, which was held at the Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Hospital in Amman’s Ain Al Basha area. Some 300 children from Jordan and other countries are expected to benefit from the campaign.
