AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin, members of the Palestine Parliamentary Committee and heads of official media institutions on Sunday discussed the role of official media platforms in defending the Palestinian cause.
MP Mohammad Al Thahrawi, head of the committee, commended the coverage of national media outlets of the recent Israeli aggression against the Palestinians in addition to Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
He noted that the gathering is part of a series of meetings with several media institutions to formalise a national media vision against the continued Israeli violations. He added that the committee will organise a conference on Jerusalem next month.
Dudin, the government spokesperson, said that His Majesty King Abdullah always reiterates that the Palestinian cause is the Kingdom’s central issue, noting that Jordan makes every effort towards meeting the Palestinians’ rights, notably the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
