Man injured in Tawjihi festive firing; 155 motorists fined

IRBID — A man was injured by festive firing and 155 motorists were fined on Tuesday after the results of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) summer session were announced.
The shooter and the man organising the celebration were detained to be referred to the administrative governor.
The weapon was confiscated, and the injured was taken to Princess Basma Hospital where he was listed in good condition, according to Irbid Public Security Department (PSD) Director Anwar Tarawneh.
The fined motorists displayed “dangerous behaviour” that disrupted the flow of traffic and endangered public safety, according to the PSD.
