AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) personnel have arrested a suspect at the Queen Alia International Airport, who attempted to smuggle 4kg of synthetic cannabis (locally known as joker), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported Thursday.
During a routine baggage check, a group of bags were suspiciously hidden in a suitcase in a way that made them look like materials used for agricultural purposes, Petra reported.
JCD personnel called up Anti-Narcotics Department cadres to detain the passenger and take a sample for lab examination. Test results revealed the items to be synthetic cannabis.
