Macedonian delegation visits Petra

AMMAN — Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, his wife Maya Ivanova and their accompanying delegation on Tuesday visited the city of Petra, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the visit, they were briefed by Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority’s Acting President Suleiman Farajat on the archeological and tourist attractions of the red rose city.
Farajat reviewed Petra’s historical value, adding that it was ranked the second among the Seven Wonders of the World. He highlighted the efforts exerted by the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority in improving tourist services.
For his part, Ivanov expressed his pleasure over the visit, calling it a “historic opportunity” to view the world famous archeological sites.
