Lower House speaker receives PM

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat on Monday received Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh. During the meeting, the two sides voiced keenness to maintain cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive branches, in accordance with the Constitution. 

 "We are in the same boat with common interests and objectives," Khasawneh said, stressing that the government is committed to cooperate with the Lower House to serve the development efforts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. In press remarks following the meeting, Oddat said that talks focused on the priorities related to the relationship between the legislative and executive branches during the upcoming stage, in implementation of the messages included in His Majesty King Abdullah’s Speech from the Throne.
