Lower House delegation visits captured pilot’s family

AMMAN — A number of Lower House deputies on Saturday visited the father of Muath Kasasbeh, the Jordanian pilot currently held captive by the Islamic State group in Syria.
The deputies said the House is committed to maintaining contact with the relevant parties to ensure the pilot’s safe return.
Kasasbeh’s parents thanked the deputies for their efforts.
Also on Saturday, the Islamic Centrist Party expressed support for the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army in the war against terrorism.
In a statement, the party also voiced its solidarity with Kasasbeh’s family.
Meanwhile, Jordan Press Association President Tareq Momani called on media outlets to be extra accurate when reporting news related to Kasasbeh and avoid publishing rumours.
He also urged concerned authorities to provide the media with information on matters of concern to the public.
