AMMAN — The Lower House National Guidance, Media and Culture Committee on Thursday called for withdrawing the Amira film.
Head of the panel MP Yasar Khasawneh denounced the production, saying: “This film does not express our values or the Jordanian people's stances that support their brothers in Palestine,” the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Khasawneh added that this film does not serve the issue of the Palestinian prisoners and does not reflect their real suffering and the burdens shouldered by their families, stressing that the only beneficiary from this production is the Israeli occupation.
