AMMAN — The Lower House, in the first meeting of the extraordinary session, on Wednesday approved the Senate’s amendments to the 2021 Companies Law.
The Senate’s amendments added "fees" to the necessary judicial expenses that the court decides to cover cost of the compulsory liquidation of a company after creating a special account for this purpose at the Companies Control Department, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The bill allows online general assembly meetings, media council meetings and boards of director meetings. The draft law also obliges registered companies to disclose the real name of beneficiaries in the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Law.
