Lebanon honours Princess Ghida for supporting cancer patients in region

AMMAN — Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Centre (KHCC), on Wednesday received the Lebanese gold-plated Order of Merit of the first grade, during a ceremony held in Beirut in the presence of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
Princess Ghida received the order in appreciation of her role in supporting cancer patients across the Arab world, mainly for her role in securing cancer medicines in Lebanon, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The princess also expressed her gratitude for the Lebanese government and people and said: “From the beloved Beirut, great Beirut, I dedicate this medal to all who really deserve it: Cancer patients everywhere.”
