Labour Ministry, PSD renew memo on human trafficking

AMMAN — The Labour Ministry and the Public Security Department (PSD) on Thursday renewed a joint memorandum of understanding in the field of fighting human trafficking which was signed in 2012, with potential to be renewed.
Labour Minister Nidal Katamine stressed that the Kingdom’s ranking in anti-human trafficking efforts has improved, a PSD statement said.
PSD Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi said PSD was aware of the gravity of this crime early on, establishing the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in 2008.
