Labour Ministry, GIZ sign MoU on employment project

AMMAN — Labour Minister Nayef Istitieh, Director of Economic and Social Council of Jordan Musa Shteiwi, and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Employment Cluster Coordinator Stefan Erber on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding as part of the “Employment in Jordan 2030” (EJ2030) project that aims to bolster partnership between the three parties of production (government, employers, workers), job seekers and teachers in vocational and academic schools, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.Launched earlier this year, the EJ2030 will be implemented until May of 2024 through GIZ.
Germany’s contribution to the project, offered by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, totals 9 million euros.
