Labour minister, Palestinian counterpart talk cooperation

AMMAN — Labour Minister Nayef Istitieh and his Palestinian counterpart Nasri Abu Jaish on Wednesday discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in labour affairs.

During the meeting, Istitieh said that the Palestinian minister's visit to the Kingdom is part of continued efforts by the two countries' leaderships aimed to enhance their cooperation in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also said that the ministry is ready to exchange expertise with Palestine. He also referred to an agreement to form a joint technical committee to prepare an executive programme to activate deals and memoranda of understanding signed previously.

Abu Jaish expressed the Palestinian ministry's keenness to enhance cooperation with Jordan and benefit from its expertise, mainly in the fields of social security and vocational training.
