Labour minister encourages vocational education to combat unemployment

AMMAN – Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi on Saturday highlighted the importance of vocational education and training in reducing unemployment in the Kingdom, the Labour Ministry said in a statement.

During a visit to the Vocational Training Corporation, Ghezawi said that the VTC should cooperate with the education and higher education ministries, the Royal Commission for Human Resources Development, and the National Training Corporation to create plans and programmes to encourage students to choose vocational education, by reconsidering current training programmes and studying the market’s demands.
