‘Kuwait interested in further investing in Jordan’

AMMAN — The volume of trade exchange between Jordan and Kuwait reached $315.2 million in 2014 compared to $301.4 million in 2013, Industry, Trade and Supply Minister Maha Ali said Thursday.
At a meeting with Sheikh Nimer Fahad Al Sabah, assistant undersecretary for international organisations and foreign trade affairs at the Kuwaiti ministry of commerce and industry,
Ali noted that the trade exchange volume between the two countries in the first quarter of 2015 stood at $89.9 million. Kuwait is the largest investor in Jordan, with investments worth $12 billion, she said.
The Kuwaiti official expressed his country’s interest in developing economic cooperation with Jordan and increasing Kuwaiti investments.
