AMMAN — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), officially inaugurated KSrelief's clinics within the Za'atari Syrian refugees camp on Monday.
JHCO's secretary general, Hussein Mohammad Al Shebli, and KSrelief's assistant supervisor general of operations and programmes, Ahmed Al Baiz, were present at the opening. They received a briefing from the medical director about the key medical services to be offered in the next development phase.
Al Shebli expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its generous support in alleviating the suffering of Syrian refugees and improving healthcare within the camp.
During the visit, KSrelief's team also toured the Saudi Community Service and Food Supply centres managed by the World Food Programme (WFP) at the camp, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
WFP representatives provided insights to the visiting team regarding the distribution of food parcels to beneficiaries through e-coupons and how this aid is transferred monthly, exclusively for food-related items.
This project, implemented in Zaatari camp, represents the third stage of the food security initiative. Over 54,000 beneficiaries will receive food coupons for a duration of five months, supported by a generous donation of US $6.8 million from Saudi Arabia through KSrelief.
