Korea organises initiative to renovate school in Balqa Governorate

AMMAN — The Korea International Cooperation Agency’s (KOICA) Jordan office recently held an activity to renovate first-grade classrooms at Al Baqaa Prep. School for Girls, according to a statement from KOICA.
The renovations, done in cooperation with the United Nations Volunteers, were organised in celebration of International Volunteer Day, and gathered over 60 KOICA and UN volunteers, the statement added.
The participants painted murals and installed new desks at the UNRWA-operated school. The two-day initiative concluded with a visit by the Korean Ambassador to Jordan Lee Bom-yon, who said he was proud to see volunteers working with the local community to improve conditions.
