KOICA, alumni association hold iftar for orphans

AMMAN — The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in cooperation with the Korean Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ), on Thursday organised an iftar banquet for 50 orphans in Amman. 

The event also featured various physical activities, traditional Arabic storytelling, and the distribution of gifts for children hosted by Tariq Zakat and the Charity Committee, according to a statement from KOICA. 

The initiative marks the launch of a series of voluntary activities that will be implemented during the year through KAAJ with the aim of supporting the Jordanian community in different governorates.

KAAJ was founded in 2008 as a platform for over 950 participants of the KOICA training programme to sustain and strengthen the close cooperative relation between Jordan and the Republic of Korea.

The association has organised numerous philanthropic activities with the aim oflocal development in Jordan in cooperation with the KOICA Jordan office.
