AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday sent a cable to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, offering his condolences over the deaths of Egyptian security personnel in the two terrorist attacks in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

In the cable, the Monarch expressed his strong denouncement of “such coward terrorist attacks”, vowing Jordan's readiness to help the brotherly Egypt in its fight against terror, according to a Royal Court statement.

Also on Saturday, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani said Jordan denounces the terrorist blasts, which targeted Egypt’s securitymen in the north of Sinai, that claimed the lives of dozens of Egyptian officers and wounded several others, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Momani reasserted Jordan’s rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, targeting Egypt, regardless of their perpetrators.

He called on Arab and Islamic countries as well as the international community to unify their ranks in confronting radicalism and terrorism worldwide, especially in the Middle East region.
