Kingdom to offer police expertise to Bahrain

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday discussed the latest regional developments and bilateral ties with Bahrain's Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

King Abdullah and Khalifa highlighted the importance of enhancing joint Arab action in dealing with regional crises to finally work out political solutions that bring about security and stability in the neighbourhood, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty stressed the deep-rooted relations between the two kingdoms and his keenness to further develop them at all levels.

Khalifa conveyed Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa’s greeting to King Abdullah.

Interior Minister Salameh Hammad attended the meeting, which took place in the Husseiniya Palace.

Also on Monday, Hammad met with his Bahraini counterpart and the accompanying delegation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The two ministers discussed means to enhance cooperation in several fields, including economy, security and police work. 

Hammad expressed willingness to provide Jordanian expertise in all fields. 

Khalifa stressed that the relations between the two kingdoms are based on a deep understanding of various issues of common interest.
