King, in tweet, praises FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday took to Twitter to congratulate Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani on the beautiful opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. 

"I would like to extend congratulations to Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and the Qatari people on the beautiful opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

We are proud of this Arab achievement of hosting the World Cup.  We feel confident in Qatar's  ability to make this tournament a success and organise it in an impressive way," the King tweeted in Arabic.
