King receives Chinese business delegation

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received a delegation of chairpersons and CEOs of leading companies from China working in the ICT, investment, financial services and e-commerce sectors, a Royal Court statement said.
Discussions, which took place at Al Husseiniya Palace, covered Jordan’s investment-friendly climate, its qualified human resources as well as its multiple free trade agreements which position it as a gateway into regional and global markets.
They also discussed the potential of capitalising on opportunities in Jordan’s vital sectors, especially the ICT, which has reached an exceptional level due to young Jordanian talents and attractive investment conditions.
In addition, talks addressed the importance of Jordan’s tourism sector and opportunities to attract Chinese tourists to the Kingdom.
Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, ICT Minister and Public Sector Development Minister Majd Shweikeh, and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh attended the meeting.
