King, in phone call, checks on Japan PM’s health

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Wednesday, checked on the health of Japan Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, who has recently announced he is resigning over health reasons.
King Abdullah wished Prime Minister Abe good health and wellbeing, commending his role in bolstering ties between Jordan and Japan, and taking them to a strategic level, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty noted the prime minister’s wise leadership of Japan’s key role internationally and in the Middle East. The King said Jordan remains committed to working with Japan to expand cooperation and advance ties, in the best interest of the two countries and peoples.
