King joins border guards for iftar

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, visited a border guard unit on Sunday at the eastern front where he performed the Maghreb prayers and had iftar with the unit’s personnel.
His Majesty spoke to the unit’s personnel and checked on their conditions, expressing pride in their professionalism and competence.
The King also praised the border guards’ proficiency in dealing with developments at the northern and eastern fronts and performing their duties in the best manner possible, whether in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis or when fighting all forms of infiltration and smuggling.
