Turning to the peace process, His Majesty called for ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

He called for reaching just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Members of the US House Armed Services Committee commended Jordan’s role in the pursuit of peace and stability in the region, the statement added.

They also lauded the advanced capabilities and professionalism of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, which have enabled Jordan to keep its borders secure amidst regional conditions.
