King departs on official visit to Spain

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, on Sunday departed on an official visit to Spain.
In Madrid, King Abdullah is slated to meet with King Felipe VI of Spain, according to a Royal Court statement.
During the visit, His Majesty will also hold talks with President of the Government of Spain Pedro Sánchez.
In Córdoba, King Abdullah and King Felipe VI will co-chair a new round of Aqaba Process meetings, which will focus on West Africa and the Sahel region, with the participation of heads of state and delegation from the region and from a number of partner countries and organisations.
HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
