King attends JAF ceremony marking Accession to the Throne Day, Army Day, and Great Arab Revolt anniversary

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, on Thursday attended the JAF ceremony marking Accession to the Throne Day, Army Day, and the Great Arab Revolt anniversary.

King Abdullah was received at the Martyr’s Memorial by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. YousefHuneiti, and laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Monument, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty viewed exhibits from the Battle of Ammunition Hill fought by JAF personnel in Palestine, and signed the guestbook, reiterating his pride in the professionalism of JAF and security agencies’ personnel.

In addition, the King bestowed Royal medals on a number of JAF and security agencies’ personnel, in appreciation of their distinguished service and dedication.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hashembin Abdullah II, Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, and Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, as well as Prime Minister BisherKhasawneh, and Public Security Directorate Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh attended the ceremony.
