King arrives in Abu Dhabi

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein.

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, senior UAE officials, Jordan’s Ambassador in Abu Dhabi Nassar Habashneh, and embassy senior staff were present to welcome His Majesty and the Crown Prince, according to a Royal Court statement.

The King and Sheikh Mohamed are scheduled to hold talks on Wednesday to discuss the deteriorating situation in Gaza and means to bolster bilateral ties.

His Majesty departed on Tuesday on a tour that includes Abu Dhabi, Manama and Doha.

On top of the tour’s agenda will be discussions of how to step up Arab efforts to push for stopping the war on Gaza, in addition to bilateral ties.

In Manama, His Majesty will meet with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, while in Doha, the King is slated to meet with Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
