Khasawneh, Egypt’s Madbouly talk cooperation in Abu Dhabi

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh on Sunday met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly in Abu Dhabi, following the Jordanian-Emirati-Egyptian tripartite cooperation meeting.
During the meeting, Khasawneh and Madbouly discussed the historical bilateral relations, which are based on “the fraternal and distinguished ties” uniting His Majesty King Abdullah and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They also affirmed the keenness of the two governments to bolster cooperation in all political, economic and commercial fields, and overcome any obstacles hindering the course of cooperation in the service of the interests of the two countries and their peoples.
Conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah to Madbouly and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Khasawneh described the Jordanian-Egyptian relations as “a model for relations between countries”, stressing his pride in the level they have reached.
The Jordanian prime minister also highlighted the two countries' similar stances on a variety of regional and international challenges and crises.
Khasawneh and Madbouly underlined the importance of the initiative of integrated industrial partnership for sustainable economic development that Jordan, Egypt and the UAE signed in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, pointing to the need to accelerate the completion of related projects.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali, Minister of State for Media Affairs Faisal Shboul, and the Jordanian Ambassador to the UAE Nassar Habashneh, as well as a number of ministers and officials from the Egyptian side.
