JUST ranks first in Jordan, fourth in Middle East on Times’ university index

AMMAN — The Jordan University for Science and Technology (JUST) was ranked first in Jordan and fourth in the Middle East on The Times’ 2019 regional university index.
An official statement sent to The Jordan Times said on Monday that the regional index was based on the same 13 standards as the international Times survey, covering five main fields: education and educational environment, scientific research, citations, income from industry and global dimensions.
On the global level, JUST came in the 351-400 segment and 58th among universities in developing industrial countries.
Commenting on the ranking, JUST President Saeb Khureisat said that the university is proud of all its achievements, including this most recent one, which advances Jordan as a whole.
