Judicial committee endorses settlements in three corruption cases

AMMAN — The Judicial committee of economic crimes has endorsed a decision by the attorney general to settle the cases of 18 suspects from three corruption cases handled by the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission.
In one case, a settlement was reached with two major shareholders of a company, whereby they will renounce a total of 4.4 million shares to other shareholders and pay JD68,000 in stamp fees to the Treasury, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The committee also endorsed a settlement with eight suspects whereby their land, shares and cash worth JD6 million will be seized. The third case involved the retrieval of medical supplies worth around JD1.05 million.
