AMMAN — The Jordan Standards and Metrology Organisation (JSMO) has been elected member of three councils affiliated with the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
The election came during SMIIC's 22nd meeting recently held in Al Madinah Al Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, with participation of 45 Islamic countries and several regional and international organisations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
JSMO Director General Abeer Zuhair said that winning the membership in SMIIC's councils for standardisation, accreditation and administration promotes the Kingdom’s position as “a trusted source” of standardisation for the countries of the Islamic world.
