AMMAN — The Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) has apologised to the families of Dead Sea victims after incorrect news was reported on the “Yesed Sabahak” programme last Friday.
A JRTV statement on Saturday said that the news, which indicated that the families of the victims received a portion of the Templeton Prize, which His Majesty King Abdullah received, was an inadvertent “error”.
The statement affirmed the JRTV’s commitment to media standards of credibility and responsibility, and said they would conduct an investigation into the incident.
