JPMC sets new record for phosphate exports

AMMAN — The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) set a new record for exports, totalling 554,762 tonnes in June, the highest since the opening of the new phosphate export port, Abdulwahab Rowad, chief executive of the JPMC, said on Sunday.
The JPMC-owned Jordan-India company managed to produce 27,107 tonnes of P2O5 in June, the highest monthly production since the company became operational in 1997, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
