JPACO concludes annual board meeting

AMMAN — The Jordanian Palestinian Company for Marketing Agricultural Products (JPACO) board of directors on Saturday reviewed its top achievements and projects implemented in 2022.
During a meeting in Amman, members of the board of directors also discussed its action plan for 2023 and top projects for next year, as well as the financial status of the company, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JPACO Director General Aladine Abulkhair, during the meeting chaired by JAPCO Chairman Mohammed Hiari in the presence of Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat and Palestinian Agriculture Minister Riad Attari, stressed that the company managed to access new international markets in a "record time" and signed export contracts with several European countries.
Abulkhair said that JPACO also signed contracts with several local farmers to export more than 2,000 tonnes of vegetables. The company also took part in several regional and international exhibitions that witnessed the participation of major firms.
He also expressed aspiration to reach new markets in Asia, the US and Europe, noting that JPACO has a plan to export dates and olive oil through increasing the number of contracts with farmers until reaching a stage to provide products with a regular, competitive and excellent export approach.
