Jordan's ambassador to Turkey presents credentials

AMMAN — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday received the credentials of Hazem Khatib as accredited, plenipotentiary and resident ambassador of the Kingdom in Turkey.
Khatib conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah's greetings to President Erdogan and his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Turkish people, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
For his part, President Erdogan conveyed his greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah and commended His Majesty's wise policy and the "distinguished" relations between the two countries.
The Turkish president also expressed Ankara's government interest in enhancing ties with Amman, wishing the Kingdom and the Jordanian people further progress and prosperity.
