AMMAN — In support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and in protest of the continuous Israeli assault and the intense hostile assaults against the Palestinian people in the Strip, a solidarity march was started from the Al Husseini Mosque in downtown Amman following Friday prayer.
The march's participants denounced the worldwide silence and double standards on this aggression, as well as the double standards in handling this war and its aftermath, and demanded that the Arab world and the international community take effective action against the heinous aggression, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The participants urged the international human rights organisations to speak out in favour of the truth and Palestinian rights, applauding Jordan's stance, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, to halt the war on Gaza.
They stressed that what the Israeli occupation forces are doing is completely contrary to international norms, traditions, laws, and human rights values.
The participants also stressed the need to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza and open the crossings to allow urgent humanitarian aid to enter the Strip.
